Description

UNC-CH, Johns Hopkins University, Morehouse School of Medicine and Tulane University have been funded by the Fogarty International Center to launch this program. In partnership with over 25 international research training sites in Africa, Asia and Latin American, the program has funded 132 trainees in research attachments abroad. See program description for specific list of countries serving as sites.

The program support applicants at different levels of training, including postdoctoral and doctoral students committed to career in global health research, and it accept applicants outside of the four consortium institutions.

About half of the of the funding will be allocated to high priority HIV/AIDS topics. Research projects focused on cancers, mental health, women’s health and neurological disorders may also be prioritized.
