Description

ARIT supports and administers programs of fellowships for scholarly research and for language study in Turkey. ARIT Fellows come from all regions of North America. ARIT fellowships support individual research projects in ancient, medieval, or modern times, in any field of the humanities and social sciences.  The research must be carried out in Turkey.

Post-doctoral and advanced doctoral fellowships may be held for various terms, for terms from one month up to one academic year. ARIT offers research and study facilities as well as connections with colleagues, institutions, and authorities through its branch centers in Istanbul and Ankara.

Scholars who have completed their formal training may also apply for ARIT fellowships sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
